Here is a wonderful, thick, heavy duty art deco/modern upholstery fabric made for Groundworks in Germany, called Albers, after Josef Albers.
Wilkipedia: “Josef Albers (March 19, 1888 – March 25, 1976) was a German-born American artist and educator whose work, both in Europe and in the United States, formed the basis of some of the most influential and far-reaching art education programs of the 20th century.”
Joseph Albers says: “In visual perception a color is almost never seen as it really is – as it physically is. This fact makes color the most relative medium in art.” and “Any ground subtracts its own hue from the colors which it carries and therefore influences.”
