Here is a gorgeous 19th Century, exquisitely Hand Carved Black Forest Linden Wood Box, with 2 hens resting on wheat on the lid, and a rooster standing on the “ground” near a woven basket.  This box has no feet, but the carvings extend away from the box for a natural, organic feel, on all four sides of the box itself.

Condition: in very good antique condition, beautiful warm patina.  The original blue velvet inside the box is partially unglued, and is also missing on the inside of the lid.

A rare, highly collectible piece of antique German Black Forest art.
