This antique wooden ice axe is stout and still could be used today! It features a solid hickory wooden shaft, curved adze, traditional shaped spike, and its original leather pick sheath. A wonderful old wooden ice axe.
The iron head is marked with the CCB maker’s mark on one side, and with the owner’s name on the other, Mark(?) M Schab.
Condition: Nice patina on the handle, normal signs of use and wear, please see pictures for details.
Dimensions: Approximately 32 1/2″ long . The head is 12″ wide and 2″ wide at its widest.
