Here is a circa 1905 Art Nouveau Jugendstil Secessionist Set consisting of one loveseat, one armchair and one table made by Prag-Rudniker, Vienna.
Strong focus on geometric shapes in the distinct Viennese Secessionist style was adopted by Prag-Rudniker Korbwaren-Fabrication, Vienna, Austria, for their wicker furniture, in the early 1900s. During this time, lead designers for Prag-Rudniker included Hans Vollmer (1879-1946), Wilhelm Schmidt (1880 – after 1928) , both students of Josef Hoffmann, and Koloman Moser.
Made of elmwood with ebonized accents, and woven wicker. In sturdy, restored condition. The seats were covered with a Josef Hoffmann archive reedition fabric and finished with a black grosgrain tape and square brass decorative nails.
Armchair: 33 1/2″ high x 21 1/2″ deep x 22 1/2″ wide; seat height: 17 1/2″.
Loveseat: 33 1/2″ high x 21 1/2″ deep x 42 1/4″ wide; seat height: 18 1/2″.
Table: 31″ high x 22 3/4″ deep x 36″ wide.
